My mediums are Oils and Acrylics. Generally my paintings would fall into the category of Nature studies such as landscapes and animals. On occasions I have done Still Life.

I took up painting strictly as a hobby back in the mid 1970s as a form of relaxation while serving in the FBI. The formal training I received, and all I have ever had, came from watching people like Bill Alexander and Bob Ross on television, then experimenting, which I continue to do. My experience with acrylics only began about two to three months ago, so it is truly new to me.

My wife and I moved back to Terre Haute in January 2003 from Arkansas. While living there, I participated in a number of shows, with some success. and had many paintings on display and for sale in a local restaurant. Upon returning to Terre Haute in '03 I joined WVAG with my brother Bill, who is a long time member.
