Martha Dowell

        Martha Kulinski Dowell is a Pianist in the Terre Haute and surrounding areas providing music for banquets, receptions, open houses, and for church services. She began expressing herself as a Folk Artist only five years ago, and immediately found a way to bring “a bit more happiness” into her life and into the lives of ordinary people just like herself.

        In the tradition of Folk Art, Martha uses found and reused objects in her work and enjoys experimenting with most media. “Kokopelli Trio” is a mixed media interpretation of a Navajo legend, using paper, rocks, and acrylics.

        Martha is a member of the River City Art Association, the Wabash Valley Art Guild, and the Folk Art Society of America.
