Cindy Sorrell

        I am a very new member to the Guild and resident to Terre Haute.
I have always been fascinated by photography in all its forms. To me seeing an ordinary object, facial mood or a common scene captured into a self expression of art has always been amazing. I have spent the last 6 years learning everything I can and sharing what I have learned with others.

        I was an officer of a photography club in NW Indiana, where I won many awards and honors competing in Master class, including 2 awards for prints of the year and two 1st place and one 2nd place end of the year divisional achievement plaques this last May. I was also a participant in Chicago's Camera Club Association (CACCA) with many acceptances in their last spring salon. I was a club member participant in PSA (Photographic Society of America) where I was displayed in their 2005 and 2006 conferences; I am also an individual member of PSA. I also have ribbons from the 2005 Lake County fair for my photographic achievements.

        I capture all forms of photography from nature and animals to scenic and still life.

        I shoot in both digital and slide film; color and black and white.
I enjoy a challenge so I am currently expanding my knowledge in glassware photography, a technique taught to me by a woman who has been shooting glassware for over 30 years.
